KARIBU KENYA!
Upon arrival, at the Jomo Kenyatta Airport, you will get to know your travel companions and the tour guides. It will then take you about 30 minutes to drive to your accommodation on the edge of Nairobi National Park. While enjoying a welcome drink, you will discuss tomorrow’s program with the guide. DAY 2
TRAVEL DAY TO LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
In the morning, you will enjoy breakfast and the first tropical bird species in the garden of your accommodation. After breakfast, you will leave the Kenyan capital to set course for Lake Nakuru National Park. After lunch at the lodge, you will make the first safari of the trip here.
LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Lake Nakuru is one of the lakes in the Great Rift Valley. Around the lake, the park is characterized by grasslands, swamps, rocky outcrops and forests. This park is ideally suited for spotting rhinos, there are many white and black rhinos living here and the chance of encountering them is high.
JEEP SAFARI LAKE NAKURU – AFTERNOON
During the safari you will look for the black and white rhino and you may also encounter leopards, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes and hippos. With the slowly setting sun, you will go in search of wildlife during the safari and enjoy the views. In the evening you can enjoy a nice dinner under the African starry sky.

DAY 3
THINGS TO DO NEAR LAKE NAIVASHA
Today is all about the activities in the vicinity of Lake Naivasha. After breakfast, drive to Lake Naivasha where you can embark on several exciting excursions. For example, you can go mountain biking or take an adventurous walk in Hell’s Gate. In any case, in the afternoon you will undertake the boat safari on Lake Naivasha.
HELL’S GATE NATIONAL PARK
Hell’s Gate, a natural gorge in the Kenyan landscape, ideal for the adventurers on a trip! This relatively small park offers a solution if you want to alternate jeep safaris with a sporting activity. This park where you can encounter buffaloes, zebras, baboons, elk, hartebeest and more is possible to explore by mountain bike. A unique experience, possibly because there are few carnivores. A mountain bike tour can also be extended with a hike. Many birds can also be found in this rocky area. Hell’s Gate was formed around an extinct volcano, which still leaves its mark. The waters in this area are still thermally warmed and there are also two lava towers, the Fischer’s Tower and the Central Tower. The Fischer’s tower and the rock walls offer a challenge for those who like to go rock climbing.
MOUNTAIN BIKING HELL’S GATE – (OPTIONAL)
You will ride a mountain bike among the wild animals through the beautiful scenery of Hell’s Gate National Park. The feeling of being active yourself with steep cliffs and grazing zebras and giraffes as a backdrop is the highlight in this national park.
HELL’S GATE GORGE HIKE – (OPTIONAL)
During the adventurous hike through the gorge of Hell’s Gate, you will walk and clamber between steep rock faces and cliffs. A local guide will tell you about the geology, the bird species and also provide guidance during the more difficult sections.
LAKE NAIVASHA NATIONAL PARK
Lake Naivasha National Park is located right next to the Hell’s Gate National Park. Unlike the other lakes in Kenya, Naivasha is a freshwater lake. Lake Naivasha is the highest lake in Kenya (1884 meters) and served as Kenya’s main airport in colonial times. The adjacent Hell’s Gate National Park is characterized by large differences in altitude. The park is home to two extinct volcanoes that caused the Hell’s Gate rift and two towers of lava.
BOAT TRIP LAKE NAIVASHA
During the relaxing boat safari on Lake Naivasha you will enjoy the many water birds, hippos and crocodiles. You may also see wildlife along the shore that comes to quench your thirst.

DAY 4
OFF TO THE MASAI MARA NATURE RESERVE
In the morning you will gather your luggage and start the drive to one of the most famous and also wildlife-rich national parks in Africa, Masai Mara Nature Reserve.
MASAI MARA NATURE RESERVE
The Masai Mara Game Reserve is one of the most famous and wildlife-rich national parks on the African continent. The Masai Mara is divided in two by the famous Mara River through which 2,000,000 migrating wildebeests and zebras make their way in spectacular fashion. The Masai Mara Game Reserve is located in a huge valley created by the forces of the Great Rift Valley and is bordered to the east by the Loita Hills, to the north by the Ithong Hills and to the west by the imposing Esoit-Oloolo Mountains. The reserve borders the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to the south, forming a gigantic ecosystem through which the great migration passes.
JEEP SAFARI MASAI MARA – AFTERNOON
In the afternoon you will make the safari at sunset. During the safari in the Masai Mara you will encounter an exceptional number of wild animals and you will also be amazed by breathtaking views. During the savannah safari, you will look for large troops of lions, hyenas, giraffes, impalas, antelopes and maybe even rhinos. On the banks of the Mara River, you can search the forest for elephants, baboons, buffaloes and leopards. In the Mara River itself you will see the giant Nile crocodiles that occasionally collide with the many hippos. Tired and certainly satisfied, you immediately return to your accommodation with a smile on your face and take another look at the impressive photo material you have collected during the safari.

DAY 5
SAFARI SPECTACLE IN THE MASAI MARA
This day is completely dedicated to all the safari spectacle that the Masai Mara has to offer.
JEEP SAFARI MASAI MARA – FULL DAY
During the safari in the Masai Mara you will encounter an exceptional number of wild animals and you will also be amazed by breathtaking views. During the savannah safari, you will look for large troops of lions, hyenas, giraffes, impalas, antelopes and maybe even rhinos. On the banks of the Mara River, you can search the forest for elephants, baboons, buffaloes and leopards. In the Mara River itself you can see the gigantic Nile crocodiles that occasionally collide with the many hippos that also reside here. You will bring a packed lunch and enjoy it in a beautiful spot in the middle of the park among the wild animals and enjoy beautiful panoramas.

DAY 6
IN SEARCH OF THE GREAT MIGRATION IN TANZANIA
In the morning you will drive to the border between Kenya and Tanzania. After purchasing the visa, you will say goodbye to your Kenyan guides and get to know your Tanzanian guides. From the border, you will continue your journey with luxury 4WD Landcruisers. You will travel directly to one of the most famous nature parks in the world; Serengeti National Park!
Unique to this trip is that you enter the Serengeti on the north side in the months of July to October. This puts you directly in the area where the Great Migration regularly passes through the Mara River. In the months of November to June you will spend two nights in central Serengeti. During these months, part of the Great Migration can be seen from central Serengeti during the safari.
SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
The Serengeti National Park is one of the most famous game parks in the world. The Serengeti is home to the most extensive population of wildlife on earth and also includes the most complex and untouched ecosystem. Serengeti means “endless plain” in the language of the Maasai and that is what the Serengeti fully lives up to. On these plains, two million wildebeest, zebras and gazelles roam between the Serengeti and the Masai Mara in Kenya every year, in search of fresh grasslands.
JEEP SAFARI TO NORTH SERENGETI (MARA)
Today you will be looking for the more than two million migratory ungulates that make an annual round in the Serengeti eco-system. Although this is a huge amount, they spread out quite often and it is not easy to find the herds, but you will have plenty of time to search. You are in the season of the river crossings of the Mara River. The wildebeest and zebras migrate through the Mara River at many different times in the months of July/August/September/October. Upon arrival in the area, you will immediately take a safari at the Mara River and immediately have a chance to see this unparalleled spectacle. Of course, there is also time for the predators that also reside in North Serengeti during this period.

DAY 7
SAFARI AT THE INFAMOUS MARA RIVER AND TRIP TO CENTRAL SERENGETI
The morning is all about safari along the banks of the famous Mara River and then you drive back to central Serengeti on a safari. Along the way there is time to stop if there is still any wildlife to be seen. In the end, you will arrive at your accommodation in the Seronera Valley with a satisfied feeling and enjoy the campfire and later dinner.
JEEP SAFARI RIVER CROSSING SERENGETI – MORNING
During the safari you will search along the infamous Mara River. The excitement rises when you see large groups of wildebeest and zebras gathering along the shore and the giant crocodiles taking position, sometimes it takes hours before the first animals make the crossing. But once the first animals have gone, the rest will follow immediately and you will experience what you have always seen on television with programs such as Great Migrations and Planet Earth. A natural phenomenon that is difficult to match and very special and which is only seen by a small number of safari travellers!
JEEP SAFARI BACK TO CENTRAL SERENGETI (SERONERA)
At the end of the morning, you will continue the route to central Serengeti and the Seronera Valley. The Seronera Valley is known for its large numbers of felines. The guide will do his utmost to spot the lions, cheetahs and leopards for you! Apart from the feline, the attention is of course also focused on all other wildlife.

DAY 8
LAST SAFARI IN THE SERENGETI AND TRAVEL TO THE NGORONGORO CRATER
A last full morning you will wander the savannahs of the Serengeti for the last encounters with the wild animals. Around noon you will drive out of the Serengeti on a safari to your accommodation at the Ngorongoro crater. This afternoon you will enjoy your accommodation and a moment of rest.
JEEP SAFARI FROM SERENGETI TO THE NGORONGORO CRATER



A last full morning you will wander the savannahs of the Serengeti for the last encounters with the wild animals. Around noon you will drive out of the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater. Upon arrival, you can reminisce about all the impressions you have gained in the Serengeti or take a nice walk through this special environment.
NGORONGORO CRATER
The Ngorongoro Crater is the most densely populated wildlife area in the world. The crater is home to an estimated 25,000 larger mammals! The crater has a diameter of 17-21 kilometers and the crater floor has an area of about 260 km2. The rim of the crater is about 600 meters above the crater floor and in the center of the crater is a soda lake.

DAY 9
DESCEND INTO THE NGORONGORO CRATER AND TRAVEL TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater for a visit to the most wildlife-rich place in the world! After the safari in the Ngorongoro Crater, drive on to Tarangire National Park for a refreshing dip in the refreshing pool!
JEEP SAFARI NGORONGORO CRATER – MORNING
In the morning, descend into the crater for a safari across the crater floor, taking in the views and all the wildlife that lives here. You also have the best chance of spotting a rhino here. Around noon you will enjoy lunch at the picnic area and then leave the crater again. TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
The Tarangire National Park is characterized by beautiful views over valleys full of baobab trees and a miraculous amount of elephants. The name of the park is derived from the Tarangire River that flows through the area like a lifeline. In addition to the river, the water of the Silale swamp also attracts many wild animals.

DAY 10
LAST SAFARI IN TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Today you will finish the safari part of this trip in the Tarangire National Park, you will spend the whole morning on safari in this impressive park. After the safari, you will travel to the green surroundings of Arusha National Park where you will enjoy the lush nature surrounding this attractive accommodation. The Kiboko Lodge is one of the best rated accommodations in Arusha.
JEEP SAFARI TARANGIRE – MORNING
During the safari in the Tarangire National Park, you will look for the many elephants that live in the park. Around the Tarangire River you will find many game and tropical bird species. In addition to the elephants, you also have a chance to see the various predators and who knows, maybe even an African rock python. In the morning, you will take an early safari through the Tarangire National Park. Wildlife is waking up and predators can still be active now that the sun is not yet high.

DAY 11
EXCURSION IN THE GREEN SURROUNDINGS
Today it is wonderful to wake up in the green surroundings of the Kiboko Lodge where you can have a quiet breakfast. The Kiboko Lodge is part of the Dutch Watoto Foundation and is run by ex-street children from the Arusha area. Today you can visit this unique foundation, but also undertake numerous optional excursions in the vicinity of the lodge.
EXCURSIONS ARUSHA – (OPTIONAL)
There is plenty to do in the area from walking through coffee plantations, visiting a local market, horseback riding, mountain biking at Lake Duluti or even taking a walking safari in the Arusha National Park. There are no felines here but it is a nice first safari introduction in Tanzania. You discuss the wishes and possibilities on the spot with the host/hostess of your accommodation.

DAY 12
FLIGHTS TO TROPICAL ZANZIBAR
You will enjoy your breakfast in the lush surroundings of the lodge. With a bit of luck you will see the peak of Kilimanjaro rising above the clouds. You will then be taken to the airport for the regional flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, a representative of Wild Heritage of Africa Tour and Travel, will be waiting for you for the transfer to your preferred accommodation. A standard four-night stay on the idyllic east coast is planned. If desired, you can of course also opt for another (luxurious) accommodation.
ZANZIBAR
Zanzibar is a very accessible island with many attractions. It is the ideal ending for sun worshippers who love Swahili cuisine and culture. There are also fun tropical activities organized all over Zanzibar, including snorkeling, diving, spice tours and a visit to the historic Stone Town. In addition, Zanzibar has beautiful accommodations for everyone’s budget, which are located right on the pearly white beach.

DAY 13 TO 15
TROPICAL AFTERGLOW ON ZANZIBAR
These days are all about tropical afterglow on the beaches of Zanzibar. Your accommodation is a good place to be, but there is also plenty to do for the traveler who wants to be active!
EXCURSIONS ZANZIBAR – (OPTIONAL)
There are plenty of fun excursions available on Zanzibar. Head out to Jozani Forest, historic Stone Town and/or go snorkeling at Mnemba Atoll. It is also fun to roam the beaches with mountain bikes and be amazed by the colorful Zanzibari that are also on the way. Don’t forget to take a look at the most beautiful restaurant; The Rock. And in any case, enjoy the excellent Swahili cuisine and fresh seafood that is available everywhere. You can easily discuss all excursion options at the reception of your stay. You are in charge of your own time in Zanzibar.

FULL DAY ZANZIBAR – EVENING FLIGHT HOME
Enjoy another full day at the preferred accommodation. It is not until nightfall that you will be taken to Zanzibar airport. Here you will be waiting for the short regional flight to Dar es Salaam or Nairobi.
