LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

LAKE MANYARA

NATIONAL PARK

Lake Manyara is a shallow salt lake located on the spectacular Great Rift Valley. The vegetation of the park is diverse, ranging from savannah plains to the more vegetated areas. The largest part of the park is formed by the lake which is often filled by many flamingos. The park is located on the route from Arusha to the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti National Park.

When you enter the park you will be amazed by the fertile soil of this park. This is partly due to the underground rivers that cross the park. Furthermore, you will be surprised by the different sounds of the 400 different bird species in this park. The many birds emphasize the jungle feeling and the many baboons are happy to lend a hand! The most beautiful phenomenon in this park are the tree-climbing lions! The acacia forests are the best place to spot these impressive predators! During a safari in Lake Manyara you will encounter zebras, warthogs, impalas, elephants and wildebeests. Once at the lake itself, you will find many flamingos and hippos!
