The Queen Elizabeth National Park of almost 2000 km² is located in the southwest of Uganda, about a 7-hour drive from Kampala. It is bordered to the north by the Rwenzori mountains and to the west by Lake Edward. It was one of the parks with the greatest wealth of wildlife, but here too many animals were decimated during the war with Tanzania and later riots. Fortunately, the wildlife population has grown in recent years and is still growing. A boat trip on the Kazinga Canal, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. The wildlife park is the most game-rich in Uganda. The males maintain a harem of about twenty females and fervently defend their territory against competitors.
