DAY 1
KARIBU KENYA!
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, where your guide is already waiting. After an initial introduction, you will drive to the first accommodation in Nairobi. While enjoying a welcome drink, you will discuss tomorrow’s program with the guide. Karibu sana Kenya!

DAY 2
VIA MOUNT KENYA TO THE SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
In the morning, you will enjoy breakfast and the first tropical bird species in the garden of your accommodation. Next, travel to the Laikipea Plateau west of Kenya’s highest mountain, Mount Kenya. After lunch, set sail for the Samburu National Reserve.
SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
The Samburu National Reserve forms the transition area from the fertile and green soil of Mount Kenya to the semi-desert north of Kenya. The highest concentration of wildlife is found around the Ewaso Nyiro River, which meanders through the red landscape like a green lifeline. On the way to the Samburu National Reserve, you will encounter the beautiful Samburu tribes that can be recognized by their bright red clothing and colorful jewelry.
JEEP SAFARI SAMBURU – AFTERNOON
During the safari in the Samburu National Reserve you will look for unique animal species such as the giraffe gazelle, beisa oryx, Somali ostrich and the beautiful grévy’s zebra that cannot be found elsewhere in Kenya. You will search along the river and the mountains on the north side of the reserve. In addition to the unique animal species, you will of course also look for other animal species such as antelope species, lions, leopards, cheetahs and a rich bird life. In the afternoon, when the light softens and the sun slowly sets, you go on safari. Wildlife also becomes active in the afternoon, so it will be exciting to see what you will find! In the evening you can enjoy a campfire with the sounds of the African wilderness in the background.

DAY 3
IN SEARCH OF THE GERONUK, GREVY’S ZEBRA, RETICULATED GIRAFFE AND BEISA ORYX
Today the whole day is dedicated to safari in this fantastic national park. You plan the day together with your guide and can choose to go on safari all day with a packed lunch or choose to have an extensive brunch in your accommodation. By going on safari at different times of the day you will encounter a wide variety of wildlife.
JEEP SAFARI SAMBURU – FULL DAY
During the safari in the Samburu National Reserve you will look for unique animal species such as the giraffe gazelle, beisa oryx, Somali ostrich and the beautiful Grévy’s zebra that cannot be found elsewhere in Kenya. You will search along the river and the mountains on the north side of the reserve. DAY 4
TRAVEL DAY ALONG THOMSON WATERFALL AND GREAT RIFT VALLEY
After breakfast, you will leave the Samburu National Reserve on a short safari to set course for Lake Nakuru National Park. Along the way, you will make a pleasant stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint and the Thomson waterfall. You then descend further and further into the Great Rift Valley to finally arrive at Lake Nakuru.
LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Lake Nakuru is one of the lakes in the Great Rift Valley. Around the lake, the park is characterized by grasslands, swamps, rocky outcrops and forests. This park is ideally suited for spotting rhinos, there are many white and black rhinos living here and the chance of encountering them is high.

DAY 5
RHINOS IN LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Today the whole day is dedicated to safari in the Lake Nakuru National Park. After a cup of tea or coffee, you will go on safari with your guide the moment the sun rises. In consultation with your guide, you can choose to go on a full-day safari with a packed lunch or return to your accommodation between safaris.
JEEP SAFARI LAKE NAKURU – FULL DAY
During the safari you will look for the black and white rhino and you may also encounter leopards, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes and hippos. In the morning you will see the largest variety of bird species around the lake and maybe even an owl in the forest. With the slowly setting sun, you will go in search of wildlife during the safari and enjoy the views. In the evening you can enjoy a nice dinner under the African starry sky.

DAY 6
OFF TO THE MASAI MARA NATURE RESERVE
In the morning you will pack your luggage and start the drive to one of the most famous and also wildlife-rich national parks in Africa, Masai Mara Nature Reserve. After enjoying a picnic lunch in the wilderness, you will drive on a safari to your tented camp of choice. Tonight you will enjoy the campfire and the sounds of roaring lions and laughing hyenas in the background.
MASAI MARA NATURE RESERVE
The Masai Mara Game Reserve is one of the most famous and wildlife-rich national parks on the African continent. The Masai Mara is divided in two by the famous Mara River through which 2,000,000 migrating wildebeests and zebras make their way in spectacular fashion. The Masai Mara Game Reserve is located in a huge valley created by the forces of the Great Rift Valley and is bordered to the east by the Loita Hills, to the north by the Ithong Hills and to the west by the imposing Esoit-Oloolo Mountains. The reserve borders the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to the south, forming a gigantic ecosystem through which the great migration passes.

In the afternoon you will make the safari at sunset. Tired and certainly satisfied, you immediately return to your accommodation with a smile on your face and take another look at the impressive photo material you have collected during the safari.

DAY 7 AND 8
SAFARI SPECTACLE IN THE MASAI MARA
These two days are all about all the safari spectacle that the Masai Mara has to offer. You organize the days together with your guide and can choose to go on safari all day with a packed lunch or choose to have an extensive brunch in your accommodation. By going on safari at different times of the day you will encounter a wider variety of wildlife.
JEEP SAFARI MASAI MARA – FULL DAY
Today is all about safari along the banks of the famous Mara River, you will spend this day together with your guide. Since the wildebeest often migrate through the river in the morning and in the afternoon, you can enjoy a well-deserved lunch at your accommodation between safaris. During the safari you will search along the infamous Mara River. The excitement rises when you see large groups of wildebeest and zebras gathering along the shore and the giant crocodiles taking position, sometimes it takes hours before the first animals make the crossing. But once the first animals have gone, the rest will follow immediately and you will experience what you have always seen on television with programs such as Great Migrations and Planet Earth. A natural phenomenon that is difficult to match and very special and which is only seen by a small number of safari travellers!
BALLOON SAFARI MASAI MARA – (OPTIONAL)
Today you will get up early for the hot air balloon safari. You will watch the sun rise as you fly silently above the meandering Mara River. Nature awakens and after an hour-long hot air balloon ride, you will land in a beautiful place where a champagne breakfast will be waiting for you. The balloon safari is always with other travelers.

DAY 9
TRIP TO NAIROBI
Today you will leave the beautiful Masai Mara to set course for Nairobi. Upon arrival you can enjoy a refreshing shower and you can choose to eat out in the evening in one of the many restaurants in the vicinity of your accommodation. Of course, you can also choose to dine at your accommodation.

DAY 10
FLIGHTS TO TROPICAL ZANZIBAR
In the morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the beautiful garden of your lodge. You will then be taken to the airport where you will say goodbye to the guide and depart for the flight to Zanzibar. On site, a Wild Heritage of Africa Tour and Travel representative will be waiting for you and will be taken to your accommodation. The next few days will be all about tropical reminiscing on the snow-white beaches of Zanzibar!
ZANZIBAR
Zanzibar is a very accessible island with many attractions. It is the ideal ending for sun worshippers who love Swahili cuisine and culture. There are also fun tropical activities organized all over Zanzibar, including snorkeling, diving, spice tours and a visit to the historic Stone Town. In addition, Zanzibar has beautiful accommodations for everyone’s budget, which are located right on the pearly white beach.

DAY 11 TO 13
TROPICAL AFTERGLOW ON ZANZIBAR
These days are all about the tropical afterglow on the white beaches of Zanzibar. You can choose to explore the island or enjoy yourself at your accommodation.
EXCURSIONS ZANZIBAR – (OPTIONAL)
There are plenty of fun excursions available on Zanzibar. Head out to Jozani Forest, historic Stone Town and/or go snorkeling at Mnemba Atoll. It is also fun to roam the beaches with mountain bikes and be amazed by the colorful Zanzibari that are also on the way. Don’t forget to take a look at the most beautiful restaurant; The Rock. And in any case, enjoy the excellent Swahili cuisine and fresh seafood that is available everywhere. You can easily discuss all excursion options at the reception of your stay. You are in charge of your own time in Zanzibar. Choose activities here

DAY 14
FULL DAY ZANZIBAR – EVENING FLIGHT
Today you can spend a full day relaxing in Zanzibar. You will not be taken to the airport until around nightfall. Here you will be waiting for the short regional flight to Dar es Salaam or Nairobi.
